Let me say it a little louder, so everyone in the back can hear…THANK YOU!
I hope everyone understands how much each person contributed to the success of this year’s production.
Those moments you gave in October and November showed up over the weekend. People were blessed and challenged and hopefully there were some who decided to live for Jesus because they heard and saw the message you delivered so well and with such great energy and passion.
May your Christmas season be truly joyous. Praise the Lord!
— Pastor Tim
PLEASE NOTICE YOUR SCHEDULE!
Dinner tonight ENDS at 5:45!
There is rehearsal/walk-through tomorrow for EVERYONE at 2PM.
IT IS OFFICIALLY SCROOGE WEEK!
We begin promptly at 7pm with our first dress rehearsal. Please remember all your costume parts and pieces. BE DRESSED AND READY TO GO AT 7PM.
PARENTS: Please understand that this might be a late night. We will attempt to go as quickly as possible, but we have a lot still to work on, and we need to go in order…which means we need everyone until the very end.
Reminder: Everyone is needed for the Scrooge Sing-a-long on Saturday. Rehearsal begins at 2pm.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We’re back at it this weekend. Here are some things to know. (This might be long…keep reading!)
One final script revision has been posted on the Script page. This fixes some minor issues, and gives one mid-major change for Angel #1.
If you have any kind of speaking part, you are NEEDED for Sunday afternoon’s rehearsal. We’ll have lunch for you, then spend a few hours getting things set for the tech crews.
THE SCROOGE SING-A-LONG is for EVERYONE! (except for the kids in the schoolroom scene) We will be performing all songs, INCLUDING CHOREOGRAPHY. If you have a solo or duet, you might not be doing your solo or duet for the sing-a-long…but you might. We hope to have a final script available soon.I can’t say this strongly enough: the singalong is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be GREAT fun!
EVERYONE is needed on Monday, as we begin working through the whole show. Be READY TO GO at 7pm. We will need to work quickly. If you are in the Scrooge Chorus, please go the Choreography page on the Scrooge website and familiarize yourself with which groups you are in and where you are supposed to be on the stage. We will help you get where you need to be, but if you know your Group # and Entry #’s, it will help us all.
Please remember to pray daily for everyone involved and for those who will be coming to see the show. We believe this is a God-appointed meeting for those who need to know His message for their lives.
We are officially on Thanksgiving Break…which means the real fun is about to begin. Please be praying for everyone in the production and the people who will be coming to see it. Spiritual warfare is hard.
A quick look at the upcoming schedule:
- Saturday, November 30 is tech setup day. Tech and backstage crews will begin setting up for the last two weeks of rehearsal.
- Sunday, December 1 is Tech Rehearsal, after second service. Everyone who has a speaking part is needed. There will be lunch for you, then we will go beginning-to-end. This might take awhile, so be prepared.
- Monday, December 2 – EVERYONE is required for this full rehearsal. This is the first rehearsal for Scrooge Chorus. We will go through all the songs, with the intro/outro of each song. IF YOU ARE IN SCROOGE CHORUS, PLEASE REVIEW THE POSITION CHARTS ON THE CHOREOGRAPHY PAGE so that you have an idea of where you will be on stage. We will go over it all and make sure you know what you’re doing. (The main thing you are doing is singing and smiling)
If you are at all confused about anything, please email tim as soon as possible. We may repeat ourselves a lot over the next few weeks, but we would rather over-communicate than leave you confused.
It’s an all-choreography night tonight (November 12) as we rehearse RTB, WYS, and People in the Auditorium beginning promptly at 7pm. (Kids will be upstairs rehearsing Schoolroom, too.)
The Position Charts are now available for Ring the Bells and Whaddaya Say. These charts show: 1) who you are with, 2) where you go, 3) when, during the songs. View or download the pdf’s on the Choreography page.
The cast lists are currently being updated to show the groups as well. These should be finished…soon.
It’s a musical night tonight as we get closer to the big weekend. There are only THREE WEEKS OF REHEARSAL LEFT before Thanksgiving! Here’s tonight’s schedule…

The Schedule for the next three weeks is available on the Schedule page. It is the same as the larger schedule, but is formatted on one page for quick viewing.
We have also updated the Cast List page. There have been some changes and corrections to roles and other details. These lists show you which songs you are part of.
Only ONE rehearsal this week, so be sure to be there…on time!
[Clarification: Scrooge Chorus doesn’t rehearse until after Thanksgiving. This has not changed.]

We’ve moved things around one more time (we’re trying to make the best use of your time), so we’ve published one more schedule change.
This will NOT affect most of you…but PAWNBROKER, WINSTON, and PERSON #1, PERSON #2, PERSON #3, PERSON #4 should take special note! We’ve moved your rehearsal from this Tuesday and relocated it to November 21.
This is also a chance to remind you that there will be a Choreography Workshop next Sunday, October 20, after the second service, in the Auditorium. This is an optional workshop, but will be a very good way to get ready for our first Townspeople Rehearsal on the 22nd. It will also be very useful for you if this is your first year in Scrooge.
ALL LINES MUST BE MEMORIZED AT THIS POINT. From this point on, scripts will not be allowed as we rehearse. (Bring them for reference and to make notes, though.)
SPEAKING OF SCRIPTS…there is also a revised script available. This is just an update to fix some typos and formatting issues. (It’s now only 51 pages long, instead of 52:)
If you have any issues or questions, please let us know. We’re praying for you and what God is going to do through you!
The Scrooge Production Calendar has been revised as of October 7, 2019. (PLEASE THROW YOUR OLD CALENDARS/SCHEDULES AWAY!)
Please check the schedule carefully. Times and days may have changed for some of your rehearsals. (Some have even been eliminated altogether.)
And please stay connected. Last-minute changes due to sickness and other unforeseen circumstances are always possible. Please call or text Pastor Tim if you are not able to make your scheduled rehearsal.
